Dunnellon

There are two rivers that merge in Dunnellon; The Rainbow River which is fed by Rainbow Springs, and the Withlacoochee River. People love to flock here because of the Rainbow Springs State Park and the relaxing float down the river. The trees on either side of the river offer added shade to a boating or floating trip. When it’s time to relax, enjoy a smooth glass-like crystal clear river where you can see an occasional otter, several species of fish, plenty of birds and wildlife, and other breathtaking scenery.

Many of our clients travel up to the top of the river and then casually float back down. If getting a full day rental, the timing works almost perfectly to stop in at Swampy’s Bar and Grille to finish off the day with a really good meal! Try the Gator tail!

The Withlacoochee River is home to many species of fish and an occasional alligator. However, it is most known for the beautiful largemouth bass! There are enough bass in the river so generations of family can test their skills and catch their limit. The water is much more clear than most of the rivers in Florida, so the bass is very wise to feed closer to sunset. However, our clients have done pretty well during the morning times as well.

There isn’t any fuel available on the water. However, we usually fill the boat at one of the service stations after it is loaded on the trailer.

Crystal River

Crystal RiverScallop season is always a popular time in the Crystal River/Fort Island area, but they also have unpopulated islands, exposed sandbars, and party spots. There are many dockside amenities and restaurants within 5 miles of launch, and even restaurants that will deliver Dockside while you enjoy your trip!

There are many sunken vessels in the area that provide a safe bet that you’ll come home with your limit of fish, fun, and entertainment! You’re just a few miles from Three Sister’s Springs and Hunter Springs , where you can spectate the Manatees and enjoy the three springs that boil up crystal clear Florida Aquifer water that provides excellent swim visibility, rod or fly fishing, and beautiful shade and atmosphere! The springs are backed against Kings Bay State Park and there are several hotel, Airbnb, and Kayak rentals on the water! You can enjoy all Crystal River has to offer, plus the excellent and relaxing pontoon rental of 4 hours all the way up to a full week!
