We deliver the boat to the ramp you choose during checkout. We meet you there! If you have a vacation rental and you’re renting for 24 hours or more, we can deliver to the dock of your rental!

If you were born before January 1, 1988, you are not required to have the certificate. However, we strongly urge our clients to take the FREE course.

BoatUS.org FREE Boater’s Safety Course

We can deliver to you as early as 7am and you can keep the boat until dusk. We just need enough daylight to load the boat back onto the trailer.

Yes! You tell us how many and what size during checkout.

We prefer that you have a little experience or have someone who does have experience captaining the boat for you. If that is not an option, please let us know after booking and we can allot extra time to take you out on the water for a more lengthy orientation and hand’s-on instruction.
In the mean time, we would prefer you take the FREE US Coast Guard Approved Boater’s Safety Course to get you acclimated to the general boating safety and regulations that will keep you safe.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We booked the Sweet and Salty boat for the last weekend of scallop season (09/19 - 09/20/2026). We were leaving Sunday night so we needed it all day Saturday and Sunday. Most places I’ve rented from in the past would’ve charged a 48 hour rental until Monday Morning, Emily worked it out to be a 36 hour rental and saved us some money.

They delivered the boat to the dock of the house we were staying at on Crystal River. Darrell went over everything with the boat and said if I had any problems to let him know. He even showed us where the scallops were, places that most people didn’t know about. We had three people on the boat and got our limit both days. They also came to the house to pick it up and even gave a discount for the gas because I’m a Veteran.

The boat was perfect and I can’t thank them enough for a great weekend making memories on the water with my family.

I HIGHLY recommend going with Sweet Florida Rentals if you need a boat and will use them every time we go scalloping from now on.

We rented our boat from Darrell & Emily in April and had a wonderful time.  We were staying at an Airbnb on the Suwannee River which was not on their website to deliver boats to.  I called them and Emily was super helpful and they were able to add the Suwannee River to their list of locations.  We had such a great time on the river.  Will definitely will use again. The boat has everything you could possibly need, the orientation was great, they pick up the phone anytime we had questions, just super nice people. We will definitely rent a boat with them next summer. We had  6 people on the this 8 person boat with lots of room. Bimini top is great. There’s a Live well for the scallops. Darryl showed us a short cut to get out faster. They are super laid back and flexible, couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thanks you guys!

I did 2 runs to the scallop grounds with 2 sets of family members in the Carolina Skiff in a day. Watched the 5' oclock rental people run in and felt sad for them as the WHOLE day was awesome. This is the second time we’ve rented from you and enjoyed the entire experience on the Rainbow River. Such pleasant people to rent from , unlike some others in the Dunnellon area.
